FAQ
Questions, answered
The short version of how Simply Once keeps your information private, organized, and easy to share — whether you're flying solo or looking out for a whole household.
What is Simply Once?
A private, encrypted vault for the information your life runs on — logins, documents, IDs, payment cards, policies, and emergency details. Enter it once, autofill whole forms in a tap, share exactly what’s needed and nothing more, and be ready when it counts. No one — including us — can read any of it. Take the full tour →
Can Simply Once — or anyone — read my data?
No. Your vault is zero-knowledge and end-to-end encrypted: everything is encrypted on your device before it’s stored, with keys only you hold, so only you and the people you explicitly choose can open it. That’s not a privacy promise — it’s the architecture. Even we can’t read your data, and we never sell it. Read our privacy policy →
What can I keep in it?
Far more than passwords — Simply Once holds the things a password manager was never built for: logins, driver’s licenses and passports, payment cards and bank accounts, property and vehicle records, health records and prescriptions, insurance policies, wills and legal documents, emergency contacts, Wi-Fi and SSH keys, and private notes. You keep the actual documents too, not just the details — from your Netflix login to your house deed, in one encrypted place. See everything it can hold →
How does sharing work — and can I take access back?
You share specific fields or documents — never your whole vault. When a person or business asks, you see exactly what’s requested and why, you approve it, and only that goes across. Every share is logged, visible, and revocable in one tap, so taking access back is instant. No screenshots, no group texts, no re-typing the same form for the tenth time. See sharing in action →
Is Simply Once just for families?
No — it’s built for individuals first. Your logins, documents, and details, organized and protected — whether you’re renting, freelancing, traveling, or just done with the password-reset shuffle. When you want to cover a household, the Family plan brings full Premium to up to 5 people, with shared spaces, roles and permissions, and supervised accounts for kids. Compare the plans →
What happens to my information if something happens to me?
This is one of the biggest reasons Simply Once exists. You choose trusted contacts and decide exactly what they can reach and when — key accounts, documents, and instructions — without giving anyone access to everything today. If the unexpected happens, the people you love find what they need in minutes, not weeks of guessing and paperwork. Planning ahead is an act of care. More on being ready →
How much does it cost?
Individual Basic is free forever — a real plan, not a trial, with an encrypted vault, smart autofill, and secure sharing. Individual Premium adds 10 GB of expandable encrypted storage, emergency access for trusted contacts, and breach monitoring; Family Premium covers up to 5 people with shared spaces and a family dashboard. Pay annually and save up to 38% — and every plan is zero-knowledge encrypted. See plans & pricing →
Can I get my data out, or leave, anytime?
Always — no lock-in is part of the deal. Export your data whenever you like, and close your account at any time. Your information belongs to you, not to us; we’d rather earn your loyalty than lock it in.
Is it available yet?
Simply Once is in private beta, and we’re inviting people from the waitlist as we open access. Joining takes one email — your spot is saved the moment you confirm, and you’ll be among the first in as access opens. Save your spot →
